Winter is the coldest season of the year. In Nice, we rarely have snow or very cold weather, but in other parts of the world it snows every winter. I love winter because it reminds me of Christmas, chocolate, gifts, festivities... You can hide under big sweaters, big blankets and watch movies while eating. When you go out outside, it's cold and you have to get dressed well. That's why I love winter. But on the other hand, I hate rainy periods, and I hate having a cold or getting sick, I find I am less able to work... For fireplace, my parents happen to suffocate us with black smoke rather than warm us up. But despite everything, I remain very sensitive to the magic of Christmas.
I like winter for only two reasons : Christmas aaaaand my birthday ! my birthday and Christmas are only five days appart, so when I'm being offered presents, it feels like I have twice as much as anyone else, it makes me really happy! Despite these two happy events, winter bugs me sometimes, mostly when I spend it here. WhatI don't like about it when I'm not in a colder place is that there is no snow here, and it's just... so sad, I really despise it. I mean snow is so fun to play with, even if after that you're freezing to death.
Hello ! As we know, winter is not the favorite season of people. We are usually ill because of the cold. But there are a lot of positive things during this season. It's during this period that we have snow, I'm fond of snow. First because it's beautiful and also because I like skiing with my friends and family. Then, in winter, it's the perfect time to light candles, watch Christmas TV movies, warm up in front of the fireplace, take hot chocolate ... Hello everyone, I have several reasons why I like winter : The first one is that there isn't mosquitoes and stupid insects. The second one is that we have an easy excuse to stay home. And the third and last one is that most places seem a bit uncrowded as most people don't like to stay outside this weather. Actually winters are favorable for lazy people :) but also for who like to squeeze inside the blanket and sleep all day. As compared to summers, conditions in winters are way better especially in warmer countries.
Hy! Winter's my favorite season. To begin I love winter because I love Christmas. It is a beautiful season because firstly I love illuminated city, next I love christmas market to eat nutella churros, pancakes ,drink hot chocolate and ride a Ferris wheel. The point of view in the morning is incredible when you are on the top of the wheel , you can see the sea and the snow mountain indeed.In contrast in the night, you can see the illuminated city. To sum up I love winter in Nice. Then when the weather is stormy, I love watching movies in my bed with hot chocolate. At the end, it's ski season. Winter is here now, -christmas -skiing -cold weather Winter is quite good if you like winter sports, I love skiing so every year I go for at least 2 weeks to Andora or during the week-ends in isola2000 up in down the sloops all day long. Christmas good for présents Santa comes along with all our presents, Family comes aroud to celebrate. Christmas eve we have the lovely dinner Turkey and Ham champagne and so on, party starts (playing beer pong for example) Then the new year big party and drinks and fun with friends what great fun!!!! Hi, It seems like 2018 really flew by, I almost forgot about winter! As said by others, there’s not much snow in Nice, the weather is also mild compared to Paris’ (or any northern cities’). Moreover, without Xmas decorations, the time change or slight chill, I probably wouldn’t have noticed it was already the end of the year. Despite the fact that I prefer summer for multiple reasons, I enjoy winter too ! It’s the perfect time to wear cozy and layered clothes ! I don’t celebrate the holidays much so for me, winter is about appreciating the natural and changing landscape of the city, seeing breath vapor, waking up to a dawn with a blue hue (instead of pink), feeling the chill but not being bothered by it, and savor warm drinks and food. But there’s just one thing I hate about winter... I’m quite sensitive to the cold therefore I often shiver, and it’s very annoying. Besides that, I still like winter. Victoria H., 1L1
I looove Winter, I think it is my favorite season!!! First of all, it is my birthday in December, but also I like a lot the atmosphere of this part of the year. I find that we can identify a lot to nature because it is the moment of rest of the ecosystem and it is a period when many people are more introspective with themselves. Hi! Well, speaking for myself I despise winter, and honestly I always feel very sad at this time of the year. Reading the comments I noticed that most people liked winter for snow, but in reality I lived in Paris so I know snow very well and it's nice when you're young to build igloos or snowmen but in reality it's morea inconvenience. Indeed the roads are dangerous, it is cold so we get sick, cold that lasts 2 months because we get sick again. Everyone is depressed because it's ugly outside, we feel the tiredness of the end of the year and to finish with the days are shorter. And let's not forget that the tan that makes us so beautiful in summer is gone. Nevertheless there is also the pretext of Christmas, which I don't really appreciate because I think it became too commercial, but maybe my opinion will change as I grow up, after all I've never celebrated Christmas in the traditional way. Hello, One of the worst things about winter is how it gets cold and dark really early. However, this is the best time to stay indoors where it is warm and cosy. You can relax with a great book or entertaining film, knowing that the frosty weather is safely on the opposite side of the window! This is pretty obvious but once winter has arrived you know that Christmas is on its way, bringing with it a collection of delicious food, vibrant decorations, heart-warming films and television specials, festive events and activities, jolly music and time spent with love ones. Indeed, we can be ill for a long time. In Nice, we rarely have snow or very cold weather like in other parts of the world. However, last year, it snowed at Nice and cities and villages around. Last year, I was so happy, because when it was snowing, I was riding my favourite horse and it was wonderfull. In my opinion, now, it's colder than in the autumn season, but the weather is better, because it doesn't always rain. Furthermore, I like winter in Nice, because it's not to cold, but I prefer to do Christmas and holidays at my grand parents' home at Les mées, because it's more beautiful, there is more snow, and I feel more like home than in Nice. Also, I don't like a lot surfing or skiing, but when I do it a little, with my family, I like it. I think that it's an unpopular opinion, but I hate hot chocolate; I think that it's disgusting. So, finally, in my opinion, winter is as beautiful season as the others.
