You forgot your umbrella at home and it was raining

 Tell us what you did.

  1. Yesterday, I was flying from Nice to London. Of course as usual it was raining in Great Britain. No chance, I had forgotten my umbrella. So, How did I do?

I was so furious. I had bought it two days before, specially for this journey ; and bad luck, this day it was a bank holiday in London. Impossible to find an Umbrella in this city, all shops around were close!!!
Unfortunately, I had also forgotten my trench coat, and my rain shoes!
And of course, what's happen more? The tube was out of order and I had to walk to my meeting more than fifteen minutes under the rain?
Really , it was not so funny than in the movie singing in the rain, and I didn't feel so happy than Gene Kelly.
When I come back home , I had catch a cold!!!
What is the point of this story? Never forget to have a look to the meteo before a trip!

  2. It was raining but I was already outside without umbrella and we suppose that I was with a friend . Surely ,I think we would walk quicky in the street to find a place like a café or a restaurent and take cover in a safe place . We would wait that the rain stop.

  3. On a beautiful afternoon of December, I was walking down the street. Even though the sun was shining, there was something heavy and wet about the air.
When the first drops appeared, I did not notice it immediatly. I had spent the afternoon chasing the perfect gift and despite the many bags I had to carry, I definitly felt Christmas spririt.
But suddenly, as I understood the situation, it was raining cats and dogs! "Oh God, I've forgotten my umbrella...",I said to myself, searching trough my handbag with fever, stressed by the thunder coming. And it was such a long way until I reach home!
I decided quickly to go in the next store and grab the first umbrella I saw. But, unfortunately, the store was crowed. It seemed like thousands of people had decided to meet there, standing on my way, and further more, at least 3 babies were crying. After having waited an eternity with bravery, I finally got out, my precious lifesaver on hand.
But of course, the rain had stopped and a Rainbow made the blue sky even more radiant.

  4. It was monday and like every monday I didn't wanted to go to school ... I was really late so I took my bag pack and ran out of my house. When I got to the bus stop and it started to rain, a lot ! I searched my umbrella in my bag and I didn't found it. It was 7:30am so it was too late to come back home. So, I decided to put my hoody but it got wet really fast... It was now 7:40 am and the bus didn't come, so I ran to school. On the way, I saw Anais with her umbrella so I stole her and shouted "run girl run" ! She was really upset but my hair curled so much. She joined me and we were now in front of the high school when Salomé came and told us "Mrs AKOKA is not there we can come back home !".

  5. I realized when my school day was finished that it was raining and my umbrella was at home !
Furthermore, I was wearing my new shoes in velvet which my parents had offered me for Christmas. It was the first time that I put them on my feet and I do not really want, for anything in the world, that the rain ruins my lovely shoes.
I thought few seconds that I could call my grand-mother until I became aware of the hour of the afternoon; she must was sleeping.
Then, my friend told me that the bus stopped just in front of my home but obviously I did not take my wallet on the morning because I thought that I did not need it this day.
Fortunately, my dear friend, Emilie, as she saw my stress grew up, gave me some changes to pay the bus.
Until the bus stop, I ran as quickly as possible to avoid soaking my shoes and, when I reached it, I was totally breathless.
I finally arrived at home and I was not completely wet even if my hair quite was.
Before having a hot shower and drinking a boiling chocolate as I love, I called my friend to thank her very much and of course, I promised her to give back the two euros that she lent me.

  6. I was walking in the street when suddenly I felt some water’s drops falling on me. It was raining but my umbrella was at home. Furthermore, my jacket, this day wasn’t waterproof so, as time went on, water was falling more and more quickly and I looked like I had taken a shower. The problem was that it was a Sunday afternoon and most of the shops were closed so there were nowhere to shelter. I was walking faster and faster, trying desperatly, to find an open shop.
Unexpectedly, at one moment, I saw a light in the dark streets of Liverpool. It was for me the first chance to shelter. I approached the white light, and I saw a teeroom. It was a very smart one, with a very cozy shop front. Wet and cold, I decided to enter. A gentleman took my coat and my scarf, and proposed me to have a sit to choose what I wanted to drink and eat. It was much hotter in than outside the teeroom ! I was looking at the card when suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder, I turned the head, and, it was my friend Coline beside me ! Relieved, I was very happy to see her.
Both hungry, we took some scones with butter and strawberry ham, a cup of tea, and we spent a good time together. Once fed up, before going, my question to her was : Do you have an umbrella ?
She looked at me with a funny smile showing me her big umbrella while telling me : - Do you need a friend to take you back home ?
    - Yes, thanks a lot, it could be useful !
So, after we had got our wet coats back, she took me home and stayed some time so that she didn’t had to return outside, in the rain.

  7. Here is my story , i hope you'll enjoy it :

Yesterday , it was a cloudy and a windy day but I was sure about one thing : it wasn't going to rain .
I have to admit that I was wrong because it began to rain . I had a big problem : I forgot my umbrella at home. If I could only have a hood, it would be ok but it's too late now...
I was hoping that my friend clara hadn't forgotten hers . Unfortunatelly, she was not luckier than me whereas she always have an umbrella in her bag.
But I found a solution, therefore, I asked everyone in my class : it wasn't a success at all .
I saw Marie outside on the sidewalk with an umbrella so I ran on the pavement in order to expect a positive answer for the first time in the day !
Futhermore, Clara wanted me to find a second umbrella for her but I had not found an umbrella for me yet.
Marie was the last chance . She accepted to shelter me, I was so much relieved so Marie was the last but not the least !
Futhermore, her umbrella was big enough for three people . It was perfect .
It was hard to find a solution but I passed this hardship !

  8. When I got out of the bus, I could hear the thunder and the sound of the rain. It was raining cats and dogs.
I couldn’t walk in the street with such a flood, so the only solution was to buy an umbrella.
I didn’t know how, but I had to go and by one. I decided to run as fast as I could to the shop,
when suddenly I met a friend : Marie that I hadn’t talked to for a long time. I didn’t dare to ask her to go under her umbrella with her. We had a lot of things to tell each other so she proposed me to go and have a drink together. We kept talking and talking without looking at the time. When we realized that we had to be in the college in five minutes time. So we took our schoolbag and started running towards the college and fortunately I took advantage of her umbrella. But the bad news is that I didn’t have time to buy one and at 6 o’clock, when I went by home I was completely wet from head to bottom and I was exhausted.

  10. Oh my gosh it's raining where is my umbrella ?
I didn't have it in my bag I may forgot it at home.
This current situation happen every winter season , at this period people deals with the different temper indeed sometimes it's raining sometimes no.
So umbrella is our best friend against an unexpected rain and when we forgot it it's very annoying.
So how I could spend a rainy day without my umbrella ?
Firstly the simpler is to go back home and looking for my umbrella but if i'm far from my home many others possibilities can help me.
If I had some money I could buy an other umbrella but this possibility is not economical.
If I can't go back home , and I didn't have money I can use différents tricks to protect myself against rain like use my bag as "umbrella" in put it above my head. with those solutions I can resolve the situation by myself.

Secondly I can ask someone for help.
Indeed I can someone if can protect myself Under is umbrella or ask at one place (like restaurant..) to stay there along it's raining
So peoples between me can help me to keep me dry.
Finally I CAN find different ways to protect myself against rain thanks to tricks , and the help of the others.

  12. Hello ! This is my story :

    - I was so happy to go at the amusement park with all my friends, we took the bus and walked together but all of a sudden it rained, unfortunately I forgot my umbrella at home. I hope that one of my friends had just one umbrella but nobody had one. We were so disappointed and on top of that we had just the tickets to enter in the park so anyone had money. I began to be very cold and regrettably I haven't a hood. Then I decided to steal an umbrella.
There was a little gift shop next to this park so I went and I saw different object and at the back of the store I overview a little black umbrella. I pick up and I put it in my jacket discreetly. I left the store slowly but suddenly... The seller took my hand... I was caught in the act... I was so worried. The seller snatched my phone, called my parents to saids that I was a little thief with bad education. I was very ashamed. Because of this misadventure, my parents canceled the day, I was so mournful...
Since this day, I take my umbrella everywhere, every time with me even if the weather is sunny ;)

  14. It was midday and time to lunch. We were Tuesday and I couldn’t go to the canteen. So I left school for one hour and a half and went to my house. The rain was so strong that the street was flood. The wind was so powerful that leaves felt from their tree. Even an umbrella could stop the rain. I arrived to my house wet. I had to change my clothes. One hour late, after having a lunch I left the house but rain was not over. I arrived to the high school as wet as if I took a shower. The three left hours of lessons was boring because I was in wet clothes. What a bad day! I don’t like rain day. Curiously, I went to the swimming pool for a training in the evening!

  15. YOU FORGOT YOUR UMBRELLA AT HOME AND IT WAS RAINING

I realized that it was raining when the bell rang and I was disappointed because I had forgotten my umbrella although I had heard the weather forcast this morning. I thought only about my english test.
First I imagined that I could go back to home under my brother's umbrella but he was not at school because he was sick. I decided to take the bus. I saw that I was alone. I used my bus card, I had just one ticket left even if I reloaded it last week. When the bus started I was still alone. I think I was asleep because of the rain, at this moment it rained cats and dogs therefor I could not see the usual way. I fell asleep...
I woke up in the night, I did not recognize the place. It was a station without lights, there were only posters on which it was written "THE NEXT" in red.
There was only one emergency door which I took, I arrived in a room without any windows or other doors. There was a table with a book, the book was opened to its last page which I read.

I am reading this page but I feel astonished by this sentence :
"I continued to read this page but I feel astonished by it. I feel a shadow in my bac". I can not see the next page because the blood covers the page. I cry. I am the next...

If you have seen this story, you are the next too.
    Bye-Bye

  16. It was on December. My mother told me that I had to take my umbrella because it was raining cats and dogs outside.
However, as my mother predicted, I left the house forgetting my umbrella. The rain was flows on my face and makes my hair wet. I checked the hour but it was too late to come back home and take my umbrella. Actually, I had to go to school at eight o'clock this morning. Therefor I couldn't come back and take my umbrella
That's why, I decided to go to school even if I hadn't any umbrellas or hoods. During the path, I took shelter under balconies and walked along the walls.
The next morning, I was confined to the bed bacause I had a flu.

  19. I was outside with my friend Sonia for shopping and I would love to say that we had it all planned for this day but It was a problem ...It has begun to rain , and we had no umbrella ! So we made the decision to shelter in a restaurant or a Coffe to wait for the rain stop. As we walked in the "calombus café ", we ended on two nice people who generously gave us the umbrella we needed . Eventually , we stayed an hour in the coffee before going home.

  20. Hello !
Often, a problem I encounter is that in rainy seasons the rains come really suddenly. It is really difficult to find stores or pedestrians who are kind enough to lend an umbrella to a stranger (in this case, the poor stranger is me), and I end up getting stuck under a random canopy waiting for the rain to stop.
In this case if I wear a jacket with Hood, I put my Hood and I run to a store to buy an umbrella and if I don't have any money I continue my road running, and if I meet someone that I know and who have a umbrella, I ask him if he/she can help me ?
Finally this situation will never allow me to forget my umbrella at home.

  23. Yesterday I was at home. It was a wonderful day, the sun was shining and it was warm. So I decided call Alyson to do something with her. We decided to go in town to do a little bit of shopping. When I arrived in town in front of the shop that I was supposed to met her she wasn't there. I supposed she was late so I waited. After 5 minutes it started to rain a lot and I didn't took my umbrella because I didn't thought that it was going to rain. I was wet so I decided to wait Alyson inside the shop. She didn't arrived and the rain was not stopping. Then she called me to say that she was waiting me in an other shop because the one where I was waiting for her was too far from her bus stop and she didn't had a lot of time. So I was obliged to run under the rain and after 5 minutes running I arrived in the shop, wet but I finally found Alyson!

  25. Raining is something we often encounter but we are not always prepared for this. Sometimes it can happen that you don't take your umbrella because the weather forecast told you the whole day would be sunny or because you simply forgot it at home and you realise it too late, when you are already out, wet and late.

The rain can be upsetting because it can ruin your favorite clothes or for some their haircut. Being cold and wet is not the greatest feeling in the world especially when you get sick because of it. So, I would tend to say that if I'm out, with heavy rain and no umbrella I'd buy one. Moreover rain can also be upsetting because you feel like this grey and sad weather reflects your soul and your feeling. Rain gives you this feeling of melancholia.

But this feeling provided by rain is also conforting and makes us closer to our deep feelings and to nature. For instance, many poets like Baudelaire in his poem "Mist and Rain" found beauty in the rainy seasons. He says "O ends of autumn, winters, springtimes drenched with mud, / Seasons that lull to sleep! I love you, I praise you / For enfolding my heart and mind..". And that's why when it rains I usually never takes my umbrella on purpose, I like to put my hood on and enjoy fully the pure air and smell the petrichor, the wonderful scent of the rain.

In the end, if I had forgot my umbrella at home and that it was rainy out there I would simply thank nature and enjoy this moment that makes the city wonderful, mysterious and majestuous. When the architecture is underlined by the grey skies and the wind is blowing in the trees, it is when my soul feels pleasant nostalgia and see beauties in every detail.

  27. This day could have been the best one of my life.
It was the day of my wedding. I did not slept with my boyfriend the night before, and I missed him a lot.
Everything began well : I woke up at 8am, the weather supposed to be sunny, I checked everything, and the last appointment I had was the hairdresser and the beautician, but I could not wait to see my future husband!
I came to the hairdresser, and three girls took care of me : one was busy with my hair, another with my nails, and the last one made up me.
I was the princess, and it was my day!
4hours left, It has finished, I never saw me as beautiful as I was this day. I could finally pay, and go out. I had to wait for my father who was coming to pick me up with the car, and drive me to the church. The weather was cloudy, and I was a bit cold, I was scared my day would be a failure, but my lover call me, so my heart filled with love and I picked up the phone.
First, I heard him do some weird sound, and I asked what was happening. I was more cold, and the wind blowed strong. He began to cry, and I was totally affraid, I asked him a lot of time until he answered back : "It's your dad, he had a car accident"
After this sentence, I dropped my phone, and I fell in the street, it was raining and I did not have my umbrella, but I didn't care. It was the worst day of my life.

At first I think that I will feel so bad because my hair look so ugly when it rain. So i will find very fast a solution at this problem. May be I will put some clothe like a sweet an my head. After that, if the rain is too hight I will stay under a bridge or an other protection. If both solutions arent's possible I will take refuge in a restaurant or a coffee.
