A new yellow light to improve pedestrian safety will be tested in 7 cities in France. Like the amber light for cars, it is intended to announce the imminent passage to the red light, still poorly apprehended by pedestrians and motorists. Are you in favour or against this experiment?

  1. Personally I'm in favour this new yellow light because it gives the notion of time for people who don't pay attention to cars . I thinks they should put it in all France .

  2. I think it's a good idea because this way pedestrians will pay more attention to the traffic. Furthermore, they will put themselves less in danger when they start crossing while the light is green and in the middle of the road the light turns red. They will know that, when the light is orange, it is better to stop and wait for the green light to come back. Dorotea Natoli 101

  3. I think this experiment is a real good idea ! It is a great way to increase pedestrians' safety by letting them know how much time they have left to cross the road. In addition, this kind of innovation already exists in Holland for example but with a sound when the light is green to let you know when you can cross the road and it is really efficient, it also helps deaf people to be more independant in the city.

  4. I think the new yellow light is a good idea. The orange light allows cars to anticipate to stop passing while I think the yellow light for pedestrians could help to be more vigilant especially for children and the elderly. They take longer to cross and this would prevent them from being in the middle of the road when the pedestrian light turns red. I think it can avoid certain accidents, however many people may not respect it.

  5. I think that all experiences is good because when you test many things you can find the better way to solve a problem.
