To be honest really enjoyed this movie, I found it very interesting and not boring at all.It allowed me to discover a new vision of slavery that I didn't imagine before.
I would mention that the scene that impressed me the most was when Django took revenge on the Brittle Brothers, who had whipped and tortured his wife as if she weren't human. Indeed when Django saw them he noticed that they really hadn't stopped and were just going to abuse another women. But Django came along, whipped and shot them. I also appreciate the moment when Doctor King Schultz and Django caught Big Daddy in his own trap and killed his loved one. Moreover, I particularly liked the reversal of the situation. Django became a free man dressed in beautiful clothes who whipped one of the Brittle Brothers. This one could now understand the pain that it was. Because as we say "Don't do to others what you wouldn't like them to do to you". Finally, revenge is a powerful feeling that made the scene all the more striking. Django was able to be even more consciously free and remove the weight he had on his shoulders.
In my opinion, solving violence by violence is not the first solution to think about. But in this situation we are talking about more than violence. We are talking about slavery, racism and segregation. So, if we can't solve this absurd mentality and horrible behaviour, violence is the only solution.
In my opinion, Django is a very good movie to watch. I especially liked the fight scenes because they were epic and really good done. Moreover, this movie deals with slavery and shows clearly the violence very present at that time.
For me, the scene that I remember the most was the scene of the arrival at the mansion because many things are shown: First of all, the way Stephen reacts when he sees Django on his horse. He's himself black, but he's being racist towards him and reacts excessively. Even Calvin Candie, the slave-merchant, doesn't react this way and tries to calm him down when he knows Django can make him earn a lot of money. That shows Stephen was conditioned for a long time to think that black people - including himself - are inferiors. Besides, in this scene we can see where Broomhilda was kept: in a box where she was all naked and couldn't see the light of the sun. That's why my favorite scene is the one where Django shoots Stephen and the Calvin Candie's sister; because he finally takes his revenge. What I mean is that it is very powerful to watch.
I don't mean that violence is the first solution to everything; I don't share such views. But in this case, we must weigh pros and cons: the people that Django killed were slavers who were conditioned to think that killing black people was completely normal and who would have continued to commit horrible things.
