Hi folks, knowing we've just celebrated Halloween, could you write (100 words) about what you feared the most when you were a child. Were you scared of monsters vampires, clowns ..And why?
Hi everyone, When I was a child, I was the most afraid of vampires. I thought that they would suck my blood until death. Because of this fear, I disliked watching Halloween movies and I still dislike by the way. Notwithstanding, my fears have evolved through the time and I am no longer afraid of vampires. However, I am now terrorized by clowns. Indeed, many incidents happened with clowns during last Halloween periods. That is why, I never walk down the streets lonely for Halloween time. Last but not least, I don't like celebrating Halloween anymore as it sounds a bit stupid to me. (104 words)
When I was a child, I was afraid of all the monsters in general because my father organised a party where everybody was disguised. I saw some zombie, monster spider and specially a very true of life vampire. I was 6 years old and I just panic, I start crying all around my house and I didn't sleep during two days. since that day I hate vampire because every Halloween my parents took out all the picture and specially one video that we saw me saying I hate Halloween. For all this reason, I prefer celebrated Toussait because of this event nobody scare you.
Hello everybody ! I hope you had an Happy Halloween like me. The thing that I feared the most when I was younger was fantoms. In fact, it's the scariest Halloween's creature. When I was a child, in Halloween's Eve, I went with friends in a very old and dusty house, and in there we saw things... I was terrified! And now I'm afraid of fantoms and not vampires or zombies, because all these stories are fake, except for fantoms. They are real, I saw them.
Hello ! When I was a child, I was really affraid of dolls and puppets. Indeed, my grandmother had a collection of old-fashioned dolls that seemed very frightening to me (especially their big and scary eyes). On top of that, they were in the room where I used to sleep in my grandparents' house, and I thought they were always staring at me. When I went to bed, I feared that they would come near me in the dark and try to kill me ! Nowadays, I'm not scared by those dolls anymore, of course. However, I never celebrated Halloween as I don't like horror movies or candies...
I think most people find clowns delightful, but there's definitely a group of people who find them creepy and i am one of them. There two things about clowns that kind of inherently lead people to be frightened of them. The first is that we rely a lot on facial expressions to understand people and see their motivations. And with clowns you don't have facial expressions. It's all under makeup, and it's fixed. I’m scarred of clowns since i saw Stephen King's "It" movie’s and the new season of "American Horror Story" featuring some terrifying clowns that take prey on the fears of the viewer.
My uncle offered me a teddy bear when I was one year old. So my mother put it in my room next to my bed, the bear was a little bit big and his eyes were green but in the darkness his eyes were changing color and he was getting very scary. I felt he was still watching me and I thought he could move and come to me. Nowadays, I am not scared by the teddy bear. I very like celebrating haloween because i like candies. And you ? Do you like celebrate haloween ?
- As for me, when I was a child, I was terrified by ghost, it was my nightmare, like Victor I think it is the scariest halloween's creature because we only see its spectrum and it is destabilizing. - Nowadays, my fear is different indeed I am afraid of clowns walking down the street during this period because I heard lot of horrible stories about that, some clowns are extremely dangerous because behind the mask, there is a criminal. Finally I hope I will never find myself in front of these mentally ill. (90w)
Hi ! When I was a child I was terrified of being in the dark alone. I had an hudge imagination that maked me see things in the dark. I was also really effraid of ballons popping and clown so no circus for me until I was nine. I thought that somebody with a really large smile, giving baloon tout children wasn't normal at all. And what also scared me in the clown was the fact that you couldn't know who was under the makeup. The horror story that my cousin told me didn't help it at all. Now what I fear have change a lot.
It's not to boast me but I've never been particularly scared of vampires, clowns, monsters, zombies or other imaginary creatures because that was all. What scared me when I was a kid (and it always scares me!), It was horror stories and movies. Indeed, as a child, I had a lot of imagination and as soon as I finished watching a movie or reading a horror book, I felt that it could exist in real life. Therefore, for 2-3 days after watching a movie I could not sleep because I felt like there were monsters in my room to hurt me. Now, some horror movies always scare me when I watch them but that's it. Right now, what scares me the most in life are real things like killers, psychopaths, terrorists. By the way, I forgot that I hate being alone at home during the night because my old fears are coming back like the fear of ghosts, spirits and other demons. Thank you for reading Goodbye
Hello, so when I was a child, I was afraid of many monsters but mostly of ghosts. Because in the night there is no noises but when I hear something I thought immediately that they were ghosts in my bedroom. And in the dark, you can see something move and it was impossible to sleep after because I couldn't close my eyes. And specially when I watched an horror movie before go to bed. Like in the evening of Halloween and that is why horror movies are not my "cup of tea". If ghosts exist, I wouldn't like to see one of them.
When I was a child, I used to run when I was next to my bed because I was scared that a kind of monster was hidden under my bed! I always imagine that monster as a green, slender alien that I called Maggie but I dont know why. I had such terrible nightmares about that and one day, i even felt from my bed during night and broke my leg! Knowing my fear, my sister also liked to scared me by wearing an alien mask. Nowadays, I'm not scared of that anymore but I only celebrate halloween to eat candies with my family or my friends! Clementine l 2nd1
Hello ! When I was a child I was really scared of zombies because my old friend had shown me a horrible picture of a really scary zombie and all night I had a terrible nightmare it was really terrifying and always when I closed my eyes I saw this picture terrible of this zombie now i know it's not real and it was just an image and my "phobia" of zombies disappeared a few years ago and i am really happy about this and now I know that my fear is blood, two years ago my little brother broke his teeth and there was a lot of blood everywhere and on my hand from that day I can not see anymore when there is a lot of blood
Hello! Well when I was a child I was just scared by everything, to the point that I was having nightmares everynight! But when I was a child I was mostly scared of dolls be cause my friends used to talk about that movie which is called 'Annabelle' and the first time I saw a picture of this doll I literally thought I would have a heart attack! But I was quite (and I'm still a bit) scared of clowns, because one day a friend of mine showed me a video of clowns who were attacking people and I was always scared that one day a clown will attack me too! But now I just don't care anymore even if I'm still a bit scared of clowns but I just learnt to be less scared of EVERYTHING! Lisa 2nde1
When I was a child, I was really scared by monsters. I don't know why but I was always effrayed by the idea that a monster will come to kill me. I have never been scared by clown, and I can't undertand why so many people fear them. I have never been scared by ghost or vampire because I always know that they doesn't exist, but I still don't know why I thought that monster could exist.
When I was a child, I was afraid of a lot of things (and I still am). But the first story that comes to my mind is a tale people said about my school when I was about 6 or 7. My friends told me that a woman jumped off a window a very long time ago because her boy died, killed by one of the teachers and that now she is haunting the place and kills children because they remind her of her son. This story really frightened me because I am a very naĂ¯ve person. I couldn't sleep without the lights on for three years and even now when I talk about it, it scars me.
Hi everyone! First of all, when I was young, I was scared of night, besides I couldn’t walk without light, otherwise I cried. Furthermore, I was afraid of the black color, it made me sick. Moreover, I was afraid of sharks ( like James ). Indeed, I couldn’t swim in the sea even with my parents perhaps I it was because my father was also afraid of sharks. However, I wasn’t scared of monsters and so on. That’s why celebrating Halloween is one of my favorite activity, I love wearing costumes and dreaming that I’m a ghost. Last but not the least, I’m not scared of these things anymore, I’m not afraid of pretty much things now that I’m older. Lena S TS2
Hi ! I know that I’m a little bit late but I was very scared of ghosts and ghouls when I was a little boy... let me tell you why... It was a rainy and stormy night, I was trying to sleep in my bed and was scared of the thunder outside... And I heard a loud noise in the kitchen... I was very afraid but I had the courage to go and find out what triggered this noise... So I took a flashlight and went into the kitchen... I was barefoot and the floor was freezing cold... Once I entered the kitchen, I tried to find what triggered the loud noise... nothing. Relieved, I went running into my bedroom. But as I turned around to check if nothing was behind me, I saw two glowing red eyes starring at me ! Terrified, I jumped into my bed and closed my eyes... I think that this story is really creepy and I hope to never live this experience again... Guillaume Jolivet 2nd1
Hello, when I was a child, I was afraid of many things. I was afraid of being alone in the dark, I was terrified of dolls, ghosts, thieves. Going to the attic and to the cellar scared me also. To me the worse was the White Lady. When I went in a summer camp, the leaders often told us a story about the White Lady, then I had nightmares. One on my friends also told me about the White Lady. She said : ‘‘To see the White Lady, you have to go in your bathroom in front of your mirror at midnight. She will come and will snatch your eyes.’’ Small, I was still naive. So I did that with my best friend but she never came. Fortunately, growing up, these fears disappeared.
