Are animals capable of premeditated terror attacks? Here is the link to an old article, that shows elephants carrying out an attack on Indian villages, because a train ran over one in their pack.

  1. Hello !

    - Everybody knows that an elephant has a very large brain, with an amazing memory. In fact, out of all land mammals, an elephant’s brain is the biggest.
    - First of all, I read the article about these elephants, it underlines the intelligence of these animals. It explains that one night elephants damaged several houses, it was a revenge because a train ran over one elephant. As far as I am concerned, I think that these kind of « terror attacks » is a form of intelligence, indeed they manage to develop a strategy, that's why I am really impressed!
    - Unfortunately, we continue to make their lives difficult through deforestation. They definitely deserve better from us, and remember, they won’t forget...

  2. We know that animals can feel emotions, and smartest animals (elephant, dolphins, monkeys,...) can remember the death of their mates when they return on the place where they died, so, yes, I think that animals can premeditate attacks on humans.

  3. Hello,

We know that all living things have a survival instinct and Human, thanks to his intelligence (or his stupidity ?) succeeded, thanks to society, technology, to almost extinguish this instinct. So, are animals can attack humans because of revenge or other negative emotions ?

Indeed I think animals use this instinct to feel the dangers as predators, natural disasters. In this, animals are superior to humans. I think animals are intellectually able to do many more things than we think. It is very likely that animals also feel anger and revenge.
This would explain why elephants attacked humans by feeling threatened and seeking revenge. Furthermore, everyone knows that elephants have a very good memory.

To conclude, I am sure that animals are capable of premeditated terror attacks. Why humans could do it but not animals ?

    Good bye !

  4. Hello ! It is well known that elephants are very clever and their memory is really impresive, so I'm not suprised that they are able to plan an attack. Moreover, some animals (including elephants), like human beings, can feel emotions like fear, anger, or sadness, and I can understand why they were angry after the death of one of them. But of course, I think it's a real problem and it could be really dangerous, if there other attacks, so I hope something has been done to prevent another attack.

  5. Hi ! First of all, nothing in the article proove that it was a revenge. It was maybe a coincidence that the elephants " attack" the village. They are smart, they feel emotions but that doesn't mean they have the notion of revenge like humans.
Also we almost know nothing about the context :
    - Was the train crossing the territory of the Elephants ?
    - Was the railroads new ?

  6. In my opinion, animals are capable of premeditated terror attacks, because we know that they have more senses than us and because they can detect earthquakes. We use animals to help us, because some dogs can detected epileptic seizures and other diseases. Finally, animals have emotions, and they can feel love to someone (people are other animals).
So, may be, they can detected terror attacks.

    - can detect
    - feel love for

  8. Hello everyone !
I think some animals can predict disaster and a dangerous situation when there are an earthquake , volcano and many other things . For example , the dogs barking before the big earthquake hit that's one of the reasons some family is planning a dog guard in their garden . There are also the earthworms pouring out of the ground just before the big flood strikes . To conclude some studies have shown the reaction of the animals facing dangerous situation and when there are changes in the weather . And you ? What do you think about this subject ?

  10. Hello everyone !
Some animals like elephants aren't agressive and animals like tigers are agressive that's a fact. But animals are violent when humans get them angry because they force them to do something that they don't want to do at all. I think it's in their instinct to act accordingly with human acts and say that is a premeditate terror attack would be exaggerating because they can't speak so they found a way to get what they want.

  11. Sorry, I made a mistake it's not "humans get them angry" but "humans make them angry".
