  2. When we hear “perfect body” we think about a surrealist body shape because that’s what the society wants us to think, however I disagree with this beauty standard because every body is beautiful in it’s own way and we should embrace how we look! K.M 101 Calmette

  3. First of all there is a « perfect body », but this one is subjective.

Indeed, the “perfect body” is specific and different for each one according to the vision that one has of it. We can consider our body as the perfect body according to us, whether we have a large or small body, with shapes, fat or “not enough”, muscles or not much, cellulite or stretch marks... This is OUR vision of the ideal body. But nowadays, the girl perfect body has been so idealized by society that it has become almost unreal. It has even been described as such: must of our generation consider that one has a perfect body if one is thin, small or tall “but not too much”, with shapes and marked size… This body is so established in criteria of beauty and standards that a woman must have that it becomes almost necessary. Even women end up putting in mind this idea of “perfect body” and end up believing in it. Social media participate hugely in this idea of perfect body. Seeing constantly women who correspond to this ideal with a lot of likes and comments (like “omg perfect body”; “dream”; “perfect”; “body goal”…) end up making us believe that the perfect body exists. And it’s always the same as the one described before. But this one is NOT THE REALITY. All bodies are different and we can’t judge and give such point of view from virtual reality. Everything is relative.

Of course girls are suffering of that. It is a mentally heavy weight that can lead to serious illnesses such as anorexia or eating disorders, but can also lead to surgery or simply playing intense sports at younger ages which can cause developmental problems. But also girls who have this “perfect body” can suffer from that because others will only see by their body and will not be interested by them first.
The “perfect body” idealized by the society is definitely a vicious circle for girls.

  5. I think that "the perfect body" doesn't exist because all the body are different and perfect like there are. I think it's just according to the fashion like the clothes. Every era have its own fashion and the perfect body is approximately the same thing. Expect that the expectation of the perfect body can hurt mentally people and they can hurt themselve phisycally by stop eating, by scarification...

  6. In my opinion, this notion of perfect body doesn't make any sense, our society pushes us to look only at our appearance and the social networks don't help to make things change. The standards of beauty evolve and physiques considered as imperfect were perfect a few decades ago. According to me, this vision of perfect body is dangerous and many people suffer from it, depending on the case, it can lead to eating disorders and / or psychological disorders. Today, some body positive movements are helping to change this situation but the standards are still very strong.

To my mind, the perfect body doesn't exist, and it is also unattainable. Its target is especially the women and it has become a trend. For example, the beauty trend was not long ago the BBL body in western society, but in countrys like japan, the ideal is to be very skinny.
That's why I think trying to reach the perfect body can become very toxic for ourselves if it becomes an obsession: it can cause many mental troubles like TCA or push young girls to go under plastic surgery. Nevertheless, people trying to fit in the beauty standards often do it because they are pushed to do so by those around them. It can be from a little comment to an insult, but most of the time, it is inconscious.
Last but not least, the social medias have amplified this phenomena with scrolling and filters. Several influencers started new trends by posting photos and a lot glorify diet and plastic surgery. It has become very toxic for people who don't fit in the standards, or that just don't have the natural features trending.

  9. first of all “the perfect body” does not exist. Indeed since our youngest age our body evolves and transforms. Everyone is different and must learn to accept their body to have self-confidence. It is not important to be a stereotype of the "perfect body" end, strong, skin color etc...
It's just important to be good to feel good in your body

  11. Standards concerning "The perfect body" vary across societies and cultures and are largely influenced by media, fashion, and other factors. These standards often promote a particular body size, shape, and appearance that may not be representative of the diverse range of body types found in reality. Constantly comparing oneself to these unrealistic standards can lead to feelings of insecurity, dissatisfaction with one's body, and even the development of eating disorders or other mental health issues. Recognizing and appreciating the uniqueness and individuality of each person can lead to a more inclusive and empowering society.

  12. The perfect body is described as a skinny body, fat free and muscular one. Even if the perfect body is different for men and women, peoples are always putting critters.
However, I think the perfect body is seen differently by different people. For some one, a perfect body is a muscular body (really muscular), while for others it's a fit and skinny body.
Putting critters and saying which body is better than another one can affect men and women, boys and girls. Indeed, people can create complex and they will hate their body.
Finally we need to remember that every body are different and perfect in their own way !
