Hi everybody! I have a subject for you :"You were on your scooter in the middle of the road when you ran out of gasoline, what did you do?"

  1. It was sunny outside. Therefor, I decided to try my new scooter. I had been so happy when I had received it as my birthday present two weeks ago ! My parents had resolutely refused about having a scooter to go to school or to go shopping. But they had changed their mind just before my birthday.
That's why, on that day, I went outside to try my new scooter. Driving was so exciting... and surprising ! Indeed, when I were in the middle of the road, I suddenly ran out of gasoline. I were so disappointed! And a little bit anxious about the reaction of my both parents...
However, fortunately, my father answered the phone and told me that I had to wait for him and that he was going to help me with the scooter. I were quite reassured and I decided to patiently wait for him...

  2. During the summer holidays, I was in London with some friends. Happy to be there, my friend Coline lent me her scooter for a trip. Yes, I had to go alone on a scooter for two hours ! As for me, I don't drive very well those vehicles, I prefer the car. However, I had to go and see my grandmother in the South of England.
So, after I had revised some driving laws, I could finally return on a scooter for the third time of my life. Very anxious, I took it and after I had said "goodbye" to my friend, I started to drive it.
When I arrived, alone on the skinny road of London, my scooter started to make a special noise and then, stopped. It was the most stressful moment of all my life, I was running out of gasoline ! Therefore, my first reflex was to look at my phone. Relieved, the battery was full.
After that, I tried several times to call my parents, but...., no answer. So, I tried to call my grandmother, but she didn't answer and my last chance was my friend, Coline, but no one on this other side of the phone. Then, after a few minutes, my phone rang, but is was a masked number. I finally answered, and........, it was my grandfather ! So relieved, I explained him the situation and fifteen minutes later he was here, with me. He had taken his lorry so it was much more easy to take the scooter. Of course, it was a Sunday afternoon so nobody was working.
I finally arrived to my grandmother's house and we were all very happy.

  3. First of all , yesterday I had nothing to do so I decided to go to Antibes , with my terrific scooter . Besides , it was sunny and hot . Up to a point , everything was all right . But , suddently , I ran out of gasoline ! I was on the middle of the road without any friends to help me . However , I had to weigh the pros and the cons . Even if I ran out of gasoline , I had my phone . I found a solution and I wonder why I didn't find it before ! I called my best friend Clara , in order to get a positive answer : I hoped she could come here ...
She didn't answer so I left a message . Then , my phone broke down of battery ... What a terrible day !! I doubted whether Clara came , so I was discouraged .
One hour later , Clara arrived . I was so happy to see her and eased ! And it was the end of this trip . I promised I'll look everyday if I have enough gasoline .

  4. It was in Sunday and it was sunny so my friends and me decided to went at the beach with our scooters. We were so happy. We began driving and after 30 minutes my scooter did strange noise.
And suddenly he stoped to roll in the middle of the road.
I shouted and my friends stoped too.
I explain the situation and we finally decided to call a garage owner.
After 2 hours he was here and told me that it's a ran out of gasoline.
    I was disgusting.
But one of my friends told me " come with me on my scooter it's not because your scooter broke down that we can't go to the beach"
I'm so happy I climbed with her and we went to the beach.

  5. It was saturday, I spent the day with a friend. After the lunch, my friend, called Caroline, decided to show me the present she received for Christmas. We went to the garage, and I saw a beautiful red scooter. We decided to have fun so we tried her new scooter together! We were so excited! She drove the scooter and I sat on it behind her. It was so exicting and made lots of sensations! We were on the road, when suddenly the scooter stopped, in the middle of the road. We were scared, and didn't know what happend but then we realized that we ran out of gasoline! We were affraid of the reaction of Caroline's parents! So we decided to walk to the next gas station. Fortunately, it was not very far. Eventually, we went home and didn't say anything to her parents...

  6. On this day I decided to go in town to do shopping with my sister. I took my scooter without seeing that my rate of gasoline was very low. But in the middle of the road my scooter ran out. I was very scared but by chance I was in a little street and I was alone, no cars behind me! So I escaped from a potential accident! I walked with my scooter up the sidewalk and I called my sister who was already in town near the place where I ran out of gasoline. She rejoined me and help me to called people who helped us with my scooter.

  7. On Monday morning, I was driving to school on my scooter, when suddenly, unfortunately, it completely stopped. I quickly understood it ran out of gasoline. I was totally depressed !
First of all, I thought I could go by bus but when I realized it was too late to be on time, I then called my father because I thought he could be of any help but, too bad, he already started working. I was fully discouraged so I decided to run as fast as I could when a bright idea came up to my mind : what about calling my friend Agathe, who was about to drive on Cimiez boulevard ?
I called her but she didn’t answer because she was driving. Therefore, I decided to stare at the cars driving in front of me. Luckily, I saw Agathe’s car stopped at a traffic light. I knocked at the window and she fortunately let me in.
I was sitting in her car, totally exhausted because of the amount of stress I had to face.

  13. It seems to me that I was about fifteen years old, and it was Christmas day. My children, be watchful, I am going to tell you what you musn't do during your youth.
" Indeed, I was fifteen because it was the required age to have a scooter. In spite of grand-mother didn't really approve of grand-father's mind because she was probably afraid of accident, they finally sprang a surprise on me : they bought a terrific red scooter.
I was extremely grateful for this present, and you doubt my dears children that I would try it as quickly as possible.
As a result, even if it was the 25th of December, my parents let me go and ordered me to be careful. I hurried to ride my new scooter with an eye to show it to my bestfriend. She just lived at the end of my road.
So, I left so much quickly the garage that I didn't check that everything was okay.
After I had seen Julia who was totally in love in my scooter, she rode behind me to go for a wander.
We were driving very slowly until we heard a strange noise and a light lit suddenly. We ran out of gasoline and my happiness disappeared at the same time that the scooter abruptly stopped working.
We were in a uphill slope so, we decided to climb it pushing the scooter.
It was very heavy and nobody was outside to help us.
Finally, when I came back home, breathless, grand-mother got angry but as she was so much frightened, she took me in her arms and kissed me."

With hindsight, I think your grand-mother had good grounds to react so. One should not forget that many people are confronted by a breakdown in middle of the road.
I'd would like to point out that I wasn't enough responsible and conscious to have a scooter and I wonder why my parents accepted to buy one for me, probably because they wanted me to be happy.

  14. The other day, while I was on the brand new scooter I had got for my birthday, I suddenly ran out of gasoline. When I realised, I was mad at myself. I should have checked, as I always do, but I was running late. After having parked on the side of the road, I pulled out my phone. Of course, it had no battery left. And even worse, I had no idea where I was. I started walking in a random direction...

"Driiiiiiinnnngggg" As I woke up, I realised this was nothing but a dream. I felt so relieved !
"Maybe I am not going to ask for a scooter this Christmas eventualy" I thought, as I was plugging on my phone with care.
