Invent a story: It was getting late and I knew I was lost

  1. I used to be lost because I had no sense of direction but I always managed to find my way back. But this time, it was different… I’m going to tell you my story.

Last year, my mum Jane, invited my grandma, my brother, some friends and I to make a picnic. We were sat to eat near a lake in Normandy. I was crazy about horses so my mother, to please me, organized us a ride in woods with horses that belonged to a riding school near from where we were. I was very happy. We began our ride at 4 o’clock pm. We went to the forest, the air was wet and I had no jacket. All horses followed each other. There was no noise, just the noise of the hoofs. Suddenly an animal, a sort of fox passed in front of my horse and it left at full speed. I was a little bit afraid. I heard my grandma called my name but wasn’t able to stop my horse.
After a while, I saw nobody around me. I was definitely alone, lost… I tried to call my brother but my mobile’s battery was low. I hoped to see them soon but the time filed and nobody was there. It was 10 o’clock. I have been waiting for them for four hours. I was hopeless now and besides I was starving. I tried to sleep but it was impossible, I was too afraid!
Contrary to all expectations, I heard a man’s voice called my name. I so was reassured. It might be a fireman I didn’t remember exactly. He took me back at home and I saw my family.
This day, I’ll never forget it!

  2. I was twelve years old when I had the fear of my life. It was getting late and I knew we were lost my friend Lisa and I. I'm going to tell you how I found myself in this terrible situation.

To begin with, Lisa and I were in a small vilage for hollidays. It was in the afternoon, we were alone in the house so we desided to go to the beach for taking some photos. We spent a verry good time, however, something was going to upset our evening.
The brightness and the places were amazing for photos, that's why we walked along the beach. When the night fell down we couldn't find our way. It was very scaring. We were far from home altgough our parents tell us to stay at home. Nevertheless we walked for a long time, we were cold, tired, it was really difficult. Besides, on our way we met a suspicious man, so we ran as fast as possible. Eventually we found our way after two hours of walking. In the end, our parents had good grouds to be worried but it was a happy ending.

In conclusion, after this aventure, one should not forget that we have to listen to our parents.

    1. when I had the scare of my life
I knew my friend Lisa and I were lost.
During the afternoon we were alone in the house. We decided to go to the beach to take pictures.
We had a very good time...
The bright light and location were amazing for our pictures. We kept walking along the beach to take more.
      When night fell
      It was very scary.
Although our parents had told us to stay at home, we were far away from home at this point.
      ...and it was really difficult.
After two hours of walking, we finally found our way back. Our parents had good grounds to be worried, but it was a happy ending.

  5. Yesterday, it happened something extraordinary and mysterious. It was getting late and I knew I was lost in MY city, New York (I live here). What was my reaction ?

First of all, I walked in Central Park like every night. However, I was very tired, sad and I felt bad this night. Moreover, it was 11 o'clock p.m. So, it was getting late...
I continued to walk when suddenly I fainted.
Few minutes later, I woke up but I didn't recognize this place, I didn't even know who I was... I cried and I wondered why I existed ! At this point in time, I wanted to kill me.. I knew I was lost, in every sense of the term. Something moved in a bush next to me. I was very afraid ! A little cat appeared, it was grey, I knew this cat ! It was my animal. Through this discovery I was starting to remember all the details of my life, to know who I was really ! Finally, I returned home as if nothing had happened.
    This was my reaction !

  7. I'm going to tell you a story. Years ago, I went in a forest with my best friend during an entiere day. We had fun but at around 6 p.m , we couldn't find our way anymore. Moreover, it was getting late and at this moment, we knew we were lost.

We started to joke about it to hide our fear when, we really realised what was happening.
We were really lost, we couldn't see any path or something that could have helped us such as a person, it was dark and my friend started to cry.
That reminded me of something that my mother had told me some days before. Actually, she told me that if, i ever got lost, the stars could help me. So, i told it to my friend, and together, we followed the stars and found our way to a police station.

I will never go again in a forest without a map.

The story was written by chloe bari-levy

  8. Getting lost is one of the scariest feeling ever. There will always be a little voice inside your head that tells you that you will never find your way back...
I am just about to tell you my own story...

It was late that night, about 12p.m, I was in my room and I went downstairs to pick up something to eat because I was starving. Suddenly, I heard a strange noise: it was my dog, hitting the front door because he wanted to take a walk. First, I totally disagree but then I felt pity for him although it was late.
So we went in the forest together. It was a calm and quiet night...
Instantly, my dog ran away very fast and unfortunately, I couldn't find him anymore!
I looked for my loving dog absolutely everywhere! I even called him by his name but nothing.
In a moment, there was no more lights and I was completely lost ... I didn't know what to do!
I walked almost and hour to find my way back and my dog.. Gratefully, I found both but it did take me the whole night to do it!
To conclude, when you are alone in the night (or during the day), you must always bring your cellphone with you, you will never know what is going to happen next..

  9. Last year, I was in London with my class and we went to a labyrinth. At the beginning, I was with my friends but then, I decided to go another way. But it was getting late and I knew I was lost. So what happened next ? And what did I do to get out ?

I was alone and it was beginning to be dark and cold. I didn't know what to do because I was stressed, so I just cried and shouted. I called my friends and my teachers but anyone answered. I didn't have my phone, so I ran in the labyrinth but I couldn't find the exit. Moreover, I have no sense of direction ! At 10 p.m, I had no hope so I sat, but I heard a voice, it was a gardener : I was so happy and relieved. Then, he showed me the exit and fortunately it was my teacher who had called him and she was waiting for me !

So now, I am always scared when I go to a labyrinth and I will always remember this day !

  11. One morning like every morning, I had to take the bus to go to school. When I arrived to the bus stop, there wasn't anybody. At first, I wondered why. But then I realised that it was transport strike. So I decided to walk to Nice and then to take the tramway. Of course, I would be late but I couldn't do anything else. I switched the music on and walked along the streets. Thirty minutes later, I was late and I didn't recognize where I was. I thought it was because, when I take the bus, I don't look outside but I sleep. So I continued to walk.
I had already missed one hour and then I knew I was lost. I wanted to ask people to help me but there wasn't anybody in this little street. I switched off my music to be more concentrated. In front of me I saw someone walking too. When I was near him I said :” Excuse me sir, can you help me please. Where do I have to go to be in the centre of Nice?” however he was a tourist so he couldn't help me.
I had been walking for two hours, my back hurted because of my big bag, I was cold... Suddenly, I saw the tramway in front of me. I was saved! I ran to it. When I arrived to school, I had missed three hours. How could I be so lost? Next time I won't forget transport strike!

  12. A short thing I made some time ago, the beginning is good but I don't really like the end. The challenge for me when I wrote it was to make it as short as possible:

It was getting dark and I knew I was lost. By looking up, I could see the twin moons of Seti spreading their silver light over the dark streets of Genu, the badly frequented quarter of Neko, the planet's capital, sustained only by a few street lights scattered on the street. I had to find my way out of this area if I didn't want to be the target of thieves, man-eating clandestine aliens or other criminals. I looked in one direction, then in another direction, but I didn't recognize anything, and he was hearing suspicious noises and seeing hooded persons running in the shadow. Then I understood how to do: I was a stargazer, so I just had to use the lights in the sky to find the correct direction! I calculated where the South was using Phalder, the galactic area's brightest star, and that's how I managed to be at home on time for Christmas Eve dinner!

  13. Hello,
Some months ago, I knew I was lost, and it was getting late. So this evening, I was coming back home, through some darks streets, I wasn't scared, because I used to go that way, and it was the fastest road until this night.

I was at the half way of my home, when I saw a frightening thing, a lot of monsters walked towards me, at this time I was really scared, I turned in the opposite direction, and I ran away. I success to back home safely.

Some hours later, that knocked on my door, it was a little kid who asked some sweets, in a vampire costume, I didn't realize at first, but I understood, this day was the Halloween's day.
