Generations

  1. I really agree with the video!
The generations are about cultural change as we can see for example with the children of Generation Z (1995-2012) who have never known life without the Internet. Compared to previous generations, we spend a lot more time communicating virtually with our friends and because of that we go out a lot less. This is a problem because the Internet and especially social medias are taking up a too big part in our lives.
To my mind, the internet is very useful for informing us on important topics like gender issues, sexual orientation, which makes us the « most open-minded generation », but also for staying informed about what’s happening around the world. In addition, we can interact with our family and friends even if they live very far from us, as well as meet new people.
To conclude, we can say that we should not stay locked on ourselves and our phones but live more in reality!

  3. This video is about generations and how generations change over time. The "new" generations is called Gen Z because its the generation that was born when internet was invented, so this generation grew up with internet. Sadly that means that communication has changed (because of social medias, hashtags...) everything is about internet.
However, this generation, as they say is "the most diverse generation ever" and values equality the most such as race, gender, sexual orientation. Internet is viewed as a positif things but has also disconnected people in my opinion.

  4. This video shows us the evolution of generations over time, in particular Generation Z (1995-2012) which represents people who have always known a world with a strong presence of computers and the Internet.
We see that social networks take a very large place in our lives today and that some people become addicted to it. On the other hand thanks to an internet, we can be aware of what is happening in the world, we can interact with our friend, family, to meet new people thanks to social networks.
Finally, I find that the internet should not be abused because it can disconnect some people from the real world to the virtual world.

  5. This interview of a researcher of generational differences and the authors of the book "Gen Z at work" depicts how different generations, their attitude, lifestyle and goals have changed overtime. It mainly compares previous generations with Gen Z (people born after internet's existence).
This video puts forward that how growing up as a teen or a child back then was way more simpler than today. On the first hand, technology and gadgets have become a part of young people these days : they use them for research entertainment, education ... But, this obsession can also lead to negative outcomes such as depression, anxiety, less social skills, etc. Gen Z needs to figure out a way to deal correctly with the internet and its consumption. On the other hand, today's young people are very realistic and extremely serious about their future. They are used to and prefer to work virtually which can be a little problematic for physical offices. Plus, they don't believe in work-life balance concept. So, Gen Z is the most diverse, connected and open-minded generation of all time and it is also the one which is more likely to take risks in real life decisions.

  6. this video shows how different generations have a different attitude, way of life, view of things ... they mainly compare generation z to the previous generation. I totally agree with the video! There is a real change, we spend our time communicating virtually differently from other generations who actually communicated to them and experienced the emotions of speaking! Social networks and the Internet take too much of a place in our life. This generation still has advantages such as open-mindedness and information which is done more quickly but in return it must know how to manage the Internet correctly. to finish as they say Internet is good but in small dose because it is not necessary to withdraw but it is necessary to live in reality!
