Success

Do you agree with this idea :"Success is based more on image than talent"?

  1. A person may have success for different reasons, He may have save lives, invent a new drug or for making an act of bravery. This success is not related with the image, but indeed there is also many successes superficial and few honorary based on image...
For example, some singers are very famous not for their singing but for their style and sometime they are not good singers...
That is why i think success is based more on image than talent but there is some except

  2. I think it's surely full but i disagree with. If i differ it's because some star are like no because they have class but they haven't some talent. I think the talent have to be the first reason of success but it's not still what arrived!

  3. Yes i agree with this idea because for example i know a singer who is known for his picture not for his talent. But i think people must be known for their talent not their image.

  4. First, I think that success has nothing to do with image or even popularity ... no, the success is deserved, as the work is rewarded by good marks in high school or by better salary at work. However, I don't doubt there are some people enjoying themselves successfully without deserving it ; that's why like Julien said " some singers are very famous not for their singing but for their style and sometimes they are not good singers ". But let's not forget that there are still many people who have had a huge success for their competences, for example Martin Luther King, known until mow for his struggle ( not violent ) for freedom and rights of black people.
Therefore it's better to get a success by his talent, even if there are some people which get their by his image.

  5. The sucess can't be if there is not a talent . But after ,if we want to the sucess continue , the image has to take a very important place. So I think the sucess is based on these two things and the talent is important as image.

  10. Marie george - Success can't be ... (not the )
you cannot be successful if you are not talented
    But then if we want...
and talent is as important as image

  11. Today, especially in Europe, people judge you on appearence. Why the way you dressed is more important than talent ? Should we forget talent ?
The first situation is in film-making, beauty, muscle, youth are the most important ! Of course, all pictures are retouched and actors are very bad when they've got all these qualities like Robert Pattinson.
Indeed, on television, it's the same thing as in film-making, and I've seen that anchorman/woman so horrible, so ugly ?
Moreover, daily, young people hang around other people who are fashionable so as not to look stupid... It's nasty !
Consequently, we are in a society based on appearence... We can notice everywhere that, especially in film-making, television, everyday... It's real life !
