  2. In England the school kids have to wear a uniform whereas in France we can dress as we want.
    Even thought the French drive on the right the English continue to drive on the left.
    The French breakfast is rather sweet however the English eat a breakfast rather salty.
    In France we have rather a good weather but on the contrary in England it rains often.
    Indeed in England the streets are very clean, it’s not like in France where there is waste everywhere.
    English houses aren’t like in France because they are with red or white bricks that’s why they are more beautiful.
    In England they have a different keyboard because it begin with the letters « QWERTY » whereas in France it begin with the letters « AZERTY ».
    In France the president reigns however in England it’s the queen who reigns.
    In France it’s a democracy otherwise in England it’s a constitutional monarchy.
    In England there is the royal family whereas in France there is just the president because we don’t have king or queen.

  3. One of the main differences between England and France is that in England people speak mostly english but in France we mostly speak french. An other big difference is that England's government is a constitutional monarchy whereas France's government which is a democratic republic. England has a Queen unlike France. On the educational side, the big majority of French schools don't make their students wear uniforms compared to England. In French schools graduation day doesn't exist whereas in England, graduation day is a big tradition. An other difference between the two countries is that France has a bigger population than England. France has about sixty five million people compared to England which has around fifty six million people. There's also a difference in traditions. For example, for christmas dinner, British families will usually have pudding for desert whereas French families who will eat "bûches". Another christmas tradition done in England but not in France are surprise crackers.

    -There is a time difference of 1 hour between France and England
    - In England we drive in the left side of the road, whereas in France it is the opposite
    - The currency in England is the pound while it is the euro in France
    -Adaptor needed if travelling in country as power outlets are not the same
    - In England the uniform is mandatory in every school, which is not the case in France
    - In France the maximum working time it is 48 hours per week
    - In France, the azerty keyboard layout is used, in anglophone country like England the standard keyboard is the qwerty
    - In a culinary point, there are many differences between France and the UK. For example, the classic breakfast in France is cereal with milk, which is quite different from "the English Breakfast"
    -In France, shake hands or kiss each other, even without being really close to people is a norm. In Britain, the"bise" is not really common, they prefer to greet each other orally
    -The use of checkbooks is much less widespread than in France

    The two rugby teams are eternal rivals, the XV of the rose against the XV tricolor
    The time zone is not the same, France is 1 hour ahead, it is 2 p.m. here contrary to England where it is 1 p.m.
    The currency is also not the same, in England it is the British Pound while in France it is the Euro
    England is in a constitutional monarchy however in France it is a semi-presidential regime
    The traffic lights are not the same, in France orange warns of red but in England orange warns of red and green

  6. First of all, one of the biggest difference between France and England is that of metric system.
    Moreover, the English don't drive on the same side as the French.
    In France, gastronomy has great importance unlike in Enlgland.
    Tea time is anchored in the English traditions whereas France has different ones.
    Obviously, both countries do not speak the same language.
    Despite these differences, England and France are in the same part of the globe.
    Futhermore, both countries were allies in the world war two and they wanted to come together under one country. It was to be called "l'union franco-Britanique".
    More recently, England left European Union, what France didn't do.
    Another difference is the government, once is a democratie and the otherone is a constitutional monarchy.
    To conclude, we can say that England and France are two countries which have a lot of differences and commonalities.

    1. French vocabulary like « dressing”, ”brushing” or “jogging” no significate the same thing or sometimes don’t
    exist in English.
    2. Unlike in France, the “kiss” in England is doesn’t practice.
    3. In France there is a republic whereas in England, this is a monarchy.
    4. Contrary to France, “drink to” is not doing in England because this is not a tradition over there.
    5. In these countries, the thermometer is not using in the same way. In England is under the tongue while in France
    it’s in the bottom.
    6. To England, children at school have a uniform but not in France.
    7. In France, we drive to the left whereas in England they drive to the right.
    8. The breakfast is different because in France it’s many sweet with not eggs and bacon contrary to England where
    it’s many salty.
    9. The computer keyboard is not the same in these two countries. For the French, the first computer key is like
    “AZERTY” unlike to the English, which is like “QWERTY”.
    10. To finish, the change in France is the euro but in England is the pound.

    1) To wear a uniform is a rule in England whereas students can choose the dress in France.
    2) Unlike in France, the drive is on the left in England, and the wheel in the car too.
    3) The English breakfast is usually salty, whereas the French one is more often sweet.
    4) The English political regime is a monarchy unlike the French system is a Republic.
    5) The English way is to go to the pub to watch sport on the TV with drinking, instead of French pubs where people just have a drink.
    6) To see squirrels in England you just have to walk in a townpark, however in France it’s better to walk in a forest.
    7) When you want to cross the street, you have to wait for the sound signal in England, whereas there’s only a visual signal in France.
    8) English cooking is not famous, however French gastronomy is mentioned by the UNESCO as a heritage of humanity.
    9) In France, when you meet a good friend, you usually kiss him or her. Contrary to this, English people never do that.
    10) In 2002 France leave its currency for the euro, whereas England never leaves the pounds even before Brexit.
