Hello, If a genius allows me today to make a wish, it will be to reunite my whole family and me in our holiday family house in Normandy. Since I was born every year, we go to Normandy in this house to spend part of the summer. It is always a moment of pleasure where we are all together and share unique moments, it is very rare. Also in this village, I have many friends and a large part of my family that I have seen since my birth and that I like very much. Unfortunately, they live mostly in the Paris region and I only see it in summer. My best memories come from there. I want to know everything about what will happen in my life but I am a bit scared at the same time. I am scared because there are not only great things in life, there are also bad things and bad moments in life and I don't want to know about them. Because if I do, I will regret my wish. Speaking for myself, I think that my wish would be to restore peace in the world. I don't want to be selfish; I just would like the better for the needy, and even help someone who doesn't have the chance to live pretty, or even a person who doesn't know his family. I don't really know which wish I would choose to fulfill, as I've already got everything I need to live a comfortable life. Therefore, I think that I would make a wish for my family, as family is the most important thing for me. For instance, I could wish that my family always remains united. But perhaps what would be the fairest and the most moral thing to do would be to wish for an improvement of everyone's living conditions and for peace between the nations - although I doubt any genius could achieve that using its magical powers... If you don't know what Hogwarts means (by the way that means that you have a great lack of culture), Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is the school of magic where goes Harry Potter (and if you don't know who is Harry Potter, it is too late I can not do anything for you, sorry). Anyway, I have dreamt about going to this wonderful place since I'm eleven, when I read the Harry Potter books for the first time. That is my biggest dream for multiple reasons. First of all, Hogwarts has always been like a second house for me. Indeed, when I was feeling blue or just for the pleasure, I spent so much of my nights (and days) taking refuge in this big castle through Harry's eyes. There, I truly feel myself. It is a place so warm and welcoming, everyone has its place at Hogwarts. And moreover, there is magic ! Isn't it so wonderful to see your headmaster fill your plate with delicious food just by clapping his hands, to see one of your teachers turn into a cat or to be able to fly on a broom ? All this without mentioning the spells, because with a magic wand you can also move objects, disarm wizards and even kill some (though less fun, I admit). Furthermore, I find so cool the fact that in the school there are four houses where the students are divided according to their qualities. Each student lives with people from his house with whom he creates strong ties of friendship and solidarity: each house is like a big family. To conclude, I've always known I was made for being a wizard, and maybe I would be one in an other life.
I'll wish to be able to make all the wishes that I want. Then I could do something to the world's issues for example remove poverty, famine, wars and restore the peace in the world. hey there. I'm a very very selfish person, to start with. So I won't wish for anything like world peace or end of poverty. What I would wish for, is being able to eat as much as I want without gaining weight. I really like food, but I'm also very bad at not binging. I also eat between meals, and I know it's bad for me. But it's like a drug, so when you have the habit of eating between meals, you can't just stop. I also eat a lot of food during lunch and dinner. I don't eat breakfast, or if I do I only eat a piece of bread, and it's not healthy neither. I am, in general, a very unhealthy person, in every aspects of my life. I really don't like myself for that, to be honest. It makes me sick. I'm not really sane, mentally speaking. Thus is why I would ask a genie to let me eat as much as I want, whenever I want, without gaining weight.

ReplyDeleteIt is a difficult question but I have thought about this I don’t even know how many times, so now if a genius appeared and gave me the opportunity to grant a wish I know what I would say : I would ask for peace in the world.
I know it sounds really cliché but nowadays there are so many conflicts in the world that have irreversible consequences such as deaths, starvation, child abandonment, increased crime rate, diseases are more frequent. Wars are instigating terror. We’ve seen so many genocides in history : the Holocaust, the Armenian Genocide, the Tutsis…that my biggest fear today is that this will happen again.
And all of this in order to have power, which is so insignificant compared to the preciousness of a life. I can’t understand even a quarter of the determination of dictators, and why politicians (or others) do/ have done such horrible things to control the world.
If there was peace everyone would be happy, no poverty, no more hatred, no more fear. But only joy. I wouldn’t say that if there was peace the world would be perfect because there will always be inequalities, thirst for money, bad people, etc… But I have no doubt that it would be so much better.
As a conclusion, my wish would definitely be peace.
