  2. Hi everyone,
These pictures remind me of our awesome trip in Ireland !
I'd like to point out that Croke Park was one of my favorite tours because the guide's humour and kindness enthralled myself. Furthermore, we could have played different games after having visited and it's was quite funny !
However, we should not forget that this stadium is full of history. Indeed, what we called 'Bloody Sunday' happened on 21 November 1920 there and over 31 people were killed.
To sum up, Croke Park is as a current stadium where matches are played as a symbol of the Irish War Indepedance period.

    Xx
And thank you Mathieu for this post !

  3. Hi everybody !
First of all , I would like to thank Mathieu because he usually works on the blog whereas we don't ( we don't post pictures ) .
Then , these pictures remind me of our fabulous trip of May in Ireland . I remember that before visiting croke park , I had to ask an inhabitant in order to guide the class and even if some people would have been a little bit tense , I wasn't . Croke park was a great visit ( perhaps it was one of my favourite ) and all the class learnt the history of the place . Unfortunately , Mrs ricketts wasn't with us . However , one should not forget that croke park was not the only interesting visit ...

  4. Hello everybody !!!

In the first place, I know that everyone didn't participate to this wonderful trip, but as you can see on the second picture, we had visited a stadium !
Indeed, Croke Park, which was created in 1884, is the third biggest world's stadium that could contain about 82 300 peolple. Futermore, it is the GAA's, or Gaelic Athletic Association's, house. On one hand, you can see some gaelic players such as Stephen Cluxton and Paul Flyn, playing hurling, handball or camogie, and on the other hand, shows of popular stars such as Céline Dion, Tina Turner, or U2.
Nevertheless, at a point in the visit, we all sat on the bleachers and sang the national hymn, La Marseillaise, it was a amazing and really funny ! Moreover, the guide was very kind and so, we had a nice moment there.

  5. Hi everybody !
As Mary said, these pictures are full of souvenirs and show us some good moments spent in Ireland...
As for me, visiting St Patrick Cathedral was very enriching !
I'd like to point out that Jonathan Swift, Gulliver's travels, is buried there. That's why, being in the cathedral where he was dean was definitively incredible. Indeed, walking in his footsteps was really impressive.
Furthermore, the tour in Croke park was very interesting. Indeed, it is a famous place for on one hand, matches and competitions, and on the other hand, the historical event called "Bloody Sunday".
In a nutshell, these pictures remind me of good moments spent in Ireland...

    And what about you ?

  6. Hi everybody !
This summer, during the holidays, I went to Ireland. I stayed a week-end in Dublin. It’s a beautiful city. I saw the Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, the one who is on a photo. I visited the National Galery.
I also went to Connemara where I stayed a week. The landscapes are really magnificent. In Ireland, everything is green because it’s enormously raining. On roads, I crossed many sheeps. They’re alone or in small groups. Some had spots of colour, doubtless to differentiate them.
Beaches in Ireland are beautiful, but sea is cold.
