In the first place, Emilie Banter is a prostitute who plays a major role in the plot revealing, during the trial, she stole the ring. But what will happen to her ? To my mind, John , Maude, and Harry will try to convince the Duke that Emilie is just the Edgar's puppet. On top of it, Maude promised Emilie to save her. Last but not least, one should not forget that everyone in the story (instead of Edgar and his henchmen) has a happy end.
First of all, Emilie Banter, Meg's friend, was a whore who had some problems, especially with Edgard Hardridge. However, in my opinion, as Emilie was keeping a heavy secret that could change some lives, she will be hidden by John de Courcy in his room while Maude and Meg will try to solve the mystery. Indeed, they will be able to find who the guilty was, by some investigations, and when they will have enough clues, they will tell those the D-Day to the rest of the court. Eventually, as I like happy endings, Emilie will be saved from this plot whereas her manipulators, such as Edgard, will be imprisonned for the rest of his life.
To start with, we have to bear in mind that Emilie stole the ring for Edgar because he promised to marry her and she decided to confess that she was the thief because she heard Edgar and his men saying they were going to kill her when she was in the attic. Moreover we can imagine how disappointed Emilie has been when she understood she would never marry a noble. To my mind, Emilie could meet a gentleman who pretends to belong to the duke’s family and who would court her in order to marry her. Therefore, Emilie would be very excited and not suspicious at all. In fact, this gentleman would be Edgar’s friend and would manage to poison Emilie to take revenge on Edgar.
Hello everyone, I hope you are ready for the exam!
Emilie Banter was an important waitress to prove John's innocence but one should forget that she also helped Edgar and stole the Duke's ring. However, to my mind, she deserves to live an happy life and stops working as a prostitute. That's why, I imagine she will meet a serious and rich man who will be able to offer her everything that she will need.
In the story Emilie plays a very important role especially at the end. As for me she will have a little punishment for her act but she will be congratulates for her honesty. I can supposed that the duke will understand that she made that only by love and not because she wanted to.
First, I have to say that Emilie's character impressed me! She may have been naive in the past but I am sure she will never let someone lie to her as Edgar did. At the end of the book, she saved John's situation instead of trying to save herself as Meg did. In my opinion, the Duke and Dean Mansfield will undoubtly understand Emilie's former actions and blame Edgar. Since him and the Prelate will be in jail because of their unsuccessful plot, she will feel safe. We can guess she is going to start a friendship with Maude. Miss Mansfield might also help her to learn a more respectable job... To conclude, I wish Emilie an happier life afer this story.
Emilie is a central character in the story . As for me , even if she stole the ring , she will be find not guilty by the queen . Besides , Emilie testified against Edgar so she helped John and will be rewarded for that . In my opinion , Emilie won't be a prostitute anymore and fall in love with a man . Indeed , she will have a really safe life and , so, realize her dream . ( 51 words )
First of all Emilie Banter plays a major role in this story because one should not forget that she stole the luminous ring. In my opinion she will have a punishment during one month ( be the John's servant ) and after fall in love with a man who respect her and they will have lots of children ... ( 52 words )
As for me, after the sue Emilie was released because several reasons. On one hand she stole the Duke's ring to help Edward on the other hand she testified for Jonh de Courcy. Moreover the Duke promised to treat Emilie with leniency for her testimony. I suppose she would not be a whore.(53 words)
For me, Emilie will have a punishment because as Clara said, Emilie stole the ring for Edward. But at the end she testified the innocence of John and proved that it was the Duke's nephew the guilty. So I think that she must washed all the castle alone to learn the lesson. (53 words)
Now Emilie had to deal with the Duke, fortunately she was with her best friend Meg. She didn't regret having helped John de Courcy althought she was worried about what will happen to her. Yet, inside her she wants to believe that the Duke's judgement will be smart because she has been brave. Eventually, they were released with a warning. Nevertheless, this story gave to Emilie a second chance, indeed she began to study with John and I know one day she will live a better life.
In my opinion, even if Emilie stole the Duke's ring, she did it on Edgar's order and the Duke knows it. At the end of the story, she shows that she is brave and prefers to prove John's innocence rather than protect herself, and this is why I think she will have a happy future. I think she just will have to do something like a general interest work for a few months, but it's the only punishment she will have beacause she showed enough that she is an honest person. After this adventure, I think that Emilie learned a very important lesson, and now will be able to do the good choices to have a safer and more beautiful life. I'm barely sure that she won't be a prostitute anymore because she deserves to be more respected.
To my mind, everybody knows that Emilie is not a bad person. And I am conviced that the Duke will understand that the only culprit is Edgar who used her to stole the ring only because she is a prostitute. I can imagine that her new friends: Harry, Maude and John, will help her to earn money in another way ...
In my opinion, Emilie won't be imprisoned. Even if she stole the Duke's jewel, she admitted during the trial that she did it for Edgar. We learn that Edgar manipulated her, he promised to marry her. I think she's gonna become very friendly with Maude. To my mind, in the future, she will want to be more respected so, she will stop her business his Maude and try to become an honest woman.
Fist of all, I think that Emilie's position is hard. Indeed she has stolen the duke's ring, however, we shouldn't forget that it was Edgar who has asking her to do that. She lives a difficult life and has not really the choice to earn her life and so he has taken advantage of Emilie. We can say that she has been manipulated by him. On top of that, it is queen Elisabeth I who runs the country and she is a woman so she can imagine the hardness of being a woman this time of the History. That's why I guess that she will not have to go to prison, or have any sanction.
First of all, Emilie Banter is a prostitute and one of the main character in the story. At first sight, she seems to be guilty, but, to my mind, I think she just trusted the wrong person because she needed money. Then, in my opinion, she won't go to prison, because Harry, John and Maud will defend her. Finally, I think the Duke is an intelligent and loyal man who will make the right decision.
