BOOKS

You are in a reading mood, how do you select the book you wish to read or buy?

  1. First, I love reading. So, when I'm in a reading mood, I generally buy a book which have a great summary. Sometimes I choose a book which have a beautiful picture in front of this book or which have a good "perfume" when you turn pages of this book. No, it's not a joke, it's true but I rarely use this method, don't worry ! Finally, I choose my book according to my mood : happy, sad...

  3. For me, I am used to choose my books according to my mood, or as the feeling to read some particulary author.
Mostly, I like to read before the book's sommary and his critics by journalists. Sometimes my friends advice me a book. If I really want to read a great book, I go to the book shop and I ask for a book

    1. Summary, not sommary. Critiques not critics. A critic is a person who critiques. Advisers advise = Advisers give advice. "...and I ask for a book recommendation." If you go to a bookstore and ask for a book, they might ask you, "Which one?"

  4. When choosing a new book, it depends how I feel; I like many types of books so
sometimes, I already have a book on my bookshelf that I didn't read so I don't need to buy one.
But when I don't have any new books, I choose them in differents ways.
Either I read the summary, or I read a few pages in the middle of the book, or if someone tells me about a new book I'll want to read it.
Usually, I don't really have time to read, but when I do, I can read a big book in a short time because I love reading.

Don't forget to use commas and write proper sentences:
      1. dependent clause + dependent clause connected by a comma and a conjunction: "Either I read the summary, or a few pages in the middle of the book."
      2. dependent clause + independent clause connected by a comma "Or if someone tells me about a new book, I will want to read it."
      3. independent clause (you can have two with a semicolon): "I don't usually have time to read.

    2. First of all, I choose a new book according to my mood.
For example, during the spring holidays, I'll prefer love story or adventure books whereas while is school time, I'll buy books written by famous literature authors such as Zola, Sartre, Flaubert...
I admit, sometimes I'm lazy so the only one criterion is... how many pages ?

"I am used to choosing or because I feel like reading....and the critiques journalists make.... sometimes my friends advise me." "It depends on how I feel... sometimes there is a book on my....that I haven't read......different ways.

  6. I choose my books based on the cover normally. Sometimes it will depend on my mood but I never pick a book because it is flashy or pretty. Usually I pick a book with a simple cover. The last thing I do is read the inside cover, if the summary does not interest me I wont read it. The inside cover has to make me want to know more about the character.
